Evening dating alternatives to dinner and drinks

Inviting someone to an evening dinner is a lovely thing to do. But there are alternatives which you might like to take into consideration.

Evening dating alternatives to dinner and drinks

Inviting someone to dinner is a lovely thing to do. But if you have built yourself up as a person who likes to do things differently then you might like to consider a few options to the traditional dinner and drinks. Or perhaps you’re a little shy and you feel nervous about sitting making conversation with someone new.

Take an alternative to dinner and drinks

Whatever your reasons for taking an alternative to dinner and drinks we’ve pulled together a few ideas to inspire you to do something new.

How about a tour of an area you thought you knew? This was a great idea that a girl in the office used to take a new date somewhere different. She lives in Manchester and planned a tour of the subterranean city. Apparently you can walk for miles and see some second world war air shelters, disused canals and all sorts. She loved it because it immediately gave her and her potential new partner something to talk about then, and afterwards.

Another girl in the office was taken to an event at the new Olympic velodrome at Stratford. She said neither of them had been to cycling and so neither knew what to expect and both loved it. Her message wasn’t necessarily one about going to see cycling, but rather going to do something that’s new for both of you.

We’re not all girls in the office and the fellows had some ideas too. Just simply going for a walk is a simple idea. Perhaps still having that drink, but wandering around your town, or another, and finding the place you’re going to go to, rather than just catching a taxi straight there. Our man was clever and had done his research first. He knew just where they would end up and had checked out a few interesting places on the way that he could point out and talk about. Do make sure you don’t go anywhere scary though!

And what about an exhibition? Even if you’re not artistically minded, going to see an exhibition in the evening is a great way to stimulate conversation, whether it’s in support of what you have seen or not.

Although there were many lovely ideas the favourite had to be taking the traditional dinner and drinks, but combining a film too.

There’s a theme here – creating interest and feeding conversation, after all, when we’re happily chatting we’re happy people, and there’s nothing better for a date than two happy people.
